1953年10月28日フロリダ生まれのソングライター。
BON JOVIとは、アルバムSLIPPERY WHEN WETで「You Give Love a Bad Name」「Livin' on a Prayer」「Bad Medicine」や「Keep the Faith」など名曲に彼は参加している。最近では「Bells of Freedom」「All About Lovin' You」などバラード曲に参加。
BON JOVI以外にも「Aerosmith」や「KISS」、「Ricky Martin」などの楽曲に参加するなど、ロックバンドとの交流があることが伺える。
